ENTELEKEY MEDIA

“Entelechy” is an idea of the great Greek philosopher, Aristotle. It centers on the mysterious animating force that makes actual what is otherwise merely potential. It is the vital “key” that breathes life into an organism or insists a crystal assumes its perfect preordained shape…

At Entelekey Media, our creative credo is to realize the potential of a more complete style of storytelling across mediums and genres that nevertheless achieves a singular goal: to stimulate the audience in their primal instincts, their emotional core and in their higher intellect.

The “Triune Brain Theory” is not Aristotle’s but a newer concept that directly applies to storytelling in how humans have evolved to respond to narratives. One might say, by way of “entelechy.” The key to the most resonant stories in any format is that which successfully stimulates all three areas of our minds: They confront our fears and coax our comforts from our primitive survival instincts; they play upon our compassion and empathy within our emotional pre-frontal cortex; and they stimulate our higher intellect and collective cultural consciousness through the most recently evolved frontal lobe. Too few stories aim to satisfy all realms of our rich human repository of story responsiveness.

At Entelekey, we are committed to unlocking the potential of narratives that pass through the entire prism of human capacity and our full palette of receptivity. These are the types of stories that linger, become part of the storytelling tapestry for years to come, and foster not only cultural dialogue but even societal change.
